The agent of Empoli defender Mario Rui says Inter are “following him closely” but he won’t move in January.
The 24-year-old has been a key man for the impressive Tuscan side, racking up 20 appearances so far this season and helping his side to seventh-place.
“He won’t move from Empoli until June,” Mario Giuffredi told SportMediaset.
“Inter are following him closely, but if we speak it’ll be in June.”

Rui moved to Italy in 2011, when Parma signed him from Benfica, but failed to make an appearance for the Ducali.
Loan spells with Gubbio and Spezia followed, before a co-ownership deal took him to Empoli in 2013, and the Tuscan side bought him outright a year later.
