Stefan de Vrij’s agent Federico Pastorello reveals the Nerazzurri have called him to extend with the Dutch defender but doesn’t know if this means Milan Skriniar will leave.

Both defenders see their contracts expire at the end of the season, but Skriniar has reportedly informed the Serie A giants that he would not sign a new deal. The Slovakia international has attracted interest from PSG and is likely to join the Ligue 1 giants as a free agent in July.

“I don’t know if Skriniar will go to PSG, but I can say that Inter have called me to speed up negotiations to extend with De Vrij, who is one of my clients,” Pastorello told Rai Sport.

De Vrij joined Inter on a free transfer from Lazio in the summer of 2018.

Napoli goalkeeper Alex Meret is also on Pastorello’s client list and the Italy international is wanted by Premier League clubs.

“He experienced some difficult months, he seemed close to leaving, but he reacted as a great man and a great champion,” said Pastorello.

“We are in talks with Napoli for his contract extension. His deal expires in June 2024, but there are some English clubs interested.”

Meret has recently signed a new contract with the Partenopei, but, apparently, the Partenopei want another contract extension to extend his stay at the Stadio Maradona beyond 2024.

The 25-year-old has kept 10 clean sheets in 26 appearances across all competitions this season, conceding 22 goals.
