Elseid Hysaj’s agent ‘thinks’ Maurizio Sarri will go to Juventus and possibly bring the Napoli full-back with him.
Hysaj announced his desire to leave Napoli on Friday, and Mario Giuffredi believes a reunion with Sarri at Juve could be in the offing.
“Four years have passed and a player like Hysaj may want to try new experience, especially if in the first three years he gave great performances and then last season he was overly criticised. It hurt us a little,” Giuffredi told Radio CRC.
“Hysaj stayed at Napoli after Bayern Munich asked for him, on half the salary. Last year I talked to Juventus, but Hysaj told me he wanted to stay and try to win the Scudetto.
“My sulking is because of the fact that despite this act of love, they all turned on him, forgetting what he did for them.
“He’s a very defensive full-back, rather than an attacking one like [Giovanni] Di Lorenzo or [Andrea] Conti, who are more likely to score goals.
“I think Sarri will go to Juventus and which player wouldn’t like to follow the Coach who made him show more than the others?”
