Sebastian Giovinco’s agent insists the Toronto FC man deserves to be called-up for Italy.

The ‘Atomic Ant’ has been excluded by CT Giampiero Ventura and his predecessor Antonio Conte, who see Major League Soccer as a competition which isn’t challenging enough.

Giovinco has 21 goals and 14 assists in his 31 games so far this season, and his representative says that should merit an Azzurri call.

“He’s very disappointed,” Andrea D’Amico admitted, speaking to SportMediaset.

“He’s not demanding anything, but it’s clear that he’s performing at the highest levels on the pitch.

“He’s doing really well, and I think the national team have to go with the best. For me it’s very disappointing that Giovinco didn’t go to the Euros, and he hasn’t been called for Ventura’s new path.”
