Marko Arnautovic’s agent and brother Danijel says the Bologna striker would be ideal for Juventus: ‘Anything can happen…’

The Austria international returned to Italy last summer and scored 15 goals in 34 appearances across all competitions with Bologna.

Juventus have been monitoring the 33-year-old given that Max Allegri wants a backup for Dusan Vlahovic.

“When he returned to Italy, many people said he wasn’t ready because he had spent two seasons in China,” Arnautovic’s agent and brother Danijel told Tuttosport newspaper.

“Now the season is over and my brother has proved that he is still a high-level footballer.”

“Sinisa Mihajlovic is an incredible person and he was an idol for my brother and me. We always watched him play,” he continued.

“He counts a lot for my brother, as a man and coach. Marko scored 15 goals last season and Mihajlovic deserves credit for that.”

Are Juventus really interested in signing him and why would he be suitable for the Old Lady?

“He can make the difference in any team and of course, there are rumours about big clubs interested, such as Juventus,” the striker’s representative claimed.

“Vlahovic is a young striker, he is only 22 and could benefit from playing with a forward who has the experience of Marko. Anything is possible in football, you never know what could happen. This is football.”

Arnautovic’s contract at the Stadio Dall’Ara runs out in June 2024, but Bologna have an option to extend his stay at the club until 2025.

The Austrian striker won the treble with Inter under José Mourinho but left the club the following summer. Last summer, he returned to Serie A for the first time in 11 years.

Arnautovic has scored 33 goals in 100 appearances with Austria’s senior team. He is not the only candidate to become Vlahovic’s backup at the Allianz Stadium next season, given that Giovanni Simeone has also been linked with a move to Turin.
