Michael Essien’s agent reveals the Milan midfielder rejected moves to West Bromwich Albion and Queens Park Rangers.
The midfielder is out of contract at the end of the season, and his agent has said on several occasions that the former Chelsea man is unlikely to renew.
Fabien Piveteau today reiterated those words, and revealed that his client has already turned down a return to the English Premier League.
“What are the chances of Essien leaving in January?” Piveteau considered in an interview with Calciomercato.

“What are the chances of Essien leaving in January?” Piveteau considered in an interview with Calciomercato.
“It’s difficult, we’d prefer to respect the contract until June.
“Essien will not play in the Premier League for any club other than Chelsea, his former team.
“We had offers from West Bromwich Albion and Queens Park Rangers but we refused.
“If we were to get an appropriate offer from a club which is not in the Premier League we’d accept.
“However, it remains difficult to leave Milan in January, because our intention is to comply with the contract he has with the Rossoneri.”
