Christian Eriksen’s agent says the former Inter star will soon talk about his future after terminating his contract with the Nerazzurri.

Eriksen left Inter by mutual consent in December.

The 29-year-old had suffered a cardiac arrest during Denmark’s opening Euro 2020 clash against Finland in June 2021.

He was not allowed to play in Serie A with hear defibrillator implanted, so the Serie A giants and the former Tottenham star had to terminate their agreement.

The decision “had nothing to do with Inter,” the player’s agent Martin Schoots said in an interview with De Telegraaf as quoted by FCInternews.it.

“Everyone has to follow rules that have been in place for many years. After the incident, I knew that Italy was a dead end so I began talks with our lawyers in Italy.”

Eriksen has been training with his former club Odense in Denmark, but his future in football is still uncertain.

He could continue playing in the Dutch Eredivisie and the English Premier League.

“Christian is ambitious, he knows he is fit,” Schoots said.

“He should be the first one to talk about his ambitions and he will do that very soon.”

Eriksen joined Inter on a permanent transfer from Tottenham in January 2020. He scored eight goals in 60 appearances with the Nerazzurri and won the Serie A title in 2020-21.
