Jonathan De Guzman “will probably find a solution” with Sunderland by tomorrow, said his agent.
The Dutch international is not part of new Coach Maurizio Sarri’s plans and was left out of Sunday’s 2-1 defeat to Sassuolo.
He had originally seemed likely to snub Sunderland in favour of Olympique Marseille, but Marcelo Bielsa’s shock resignation changed that.
“We are evaluating the best solutions for all concerned along with Napoli,” agent Fabio Parisi told Radio Crc.

“Sunderland? It could be a dry loan and I think we’ll probably find a solution. I believe De Guzman’s future will be decided by tomorrow.”
If it is a dry loan – without an option to buy – then De Guzman would return to Napoli next summer and seek a move elsewhere.
