Giovanni Di Lorenzo’s agent Mario Giuffredi insists that Atletico Madrid are interested in signing his client and believes the Colchoneros can sign him for €25-30m.

The Italy international is one of the regular starters at the Stadio Maradona, having collected 33 appearances across all competitions this term.

He was also part of the Italy squad that won the Euros over the summer and became the starting right-back after Alessandro Florenzi’s injury in the opening game of the tournament against Turkey.

Di Lorenzo’s contract at the Stadio Maradona runs out in June 2026, but his agent believes that Napoli should sell him at the end of the season.

“If you have a 22 or 23 years old player, then you can turn down some offers, but with one of 26 or 27, you have to accept,” Giuffredi told Radio Punto Nuovo.

“That’s what I’d do if I owned a club. There is just one champion in Europe right now and it’s Kylian Mbappé. It’s justifiable to refuse offers only from him. Any other player can be replaced.”

But how much would Di Lorenzo cost? Is €20m a fair price for him?

“Honestly, I don’t think so,” Giuffredi replied.

“Napoli would spend at least €10m to buy a replacement, so they’d need a sale in the region of €25-30m. Atletico Madrid have always been interested and an offer could come.”
