Agent Silvano Martina said Gianluigi Buffon would be interested in moving to Benfica but confirmed the Portuguese club has not contacted them.
The 43-year-old announced he will leave Juventus when his deal expires this summer but has not ruled out a move abroad, should the right offer arrive.
“Either I stop playing, or I find a situation that motivates me to play or have a different life experience,” he told beIN Sports.
The veteran has been linked with a move to the Portuguese giants Benfica in recent days, but his agent revealed it’s only rumours for now and nothing concrete.
“If Benfica were to call, it would certainly interest us,” Martina told A Bola. “The idea could be good, but I haven’t had any contact with Benfica, not even with intermediaries.”
