Carlos Bacca’s agent said he is “very happy and chose what is best for his future” by agreeing terms with Milan.

The Sevilla striker had offers from Liverpool and Roma among others, but this evening chose a transfer to San Siro.

“I can confirm that Milan and the player reached an agreement,” representative Sergio Barila told MilanNews.it.

“Carlos chose what is best for his future, so it’s only natural he is happy. How long is the deal for? You’d best ask the Rossoneri that.”

It's reportedly a five-year contract worth €2.5m per season, rising to €3.5m.

Now Milan must agree terms with Sevilla and CEO Adriano Galliani is already on the case.

The release clause stands at €30m and Galliani is flying out to meet Sevilla director Monchi tonight.

Sky Sport Italia suggest it’s not out of the question for the clubs to finalise the transfer this evening.

Bacca turns 29 in September and is currently on international duty with Colombia in the Copa America.

As Colombia were eliminated on penalties by Argentina last night, Bacca could fly in immediately for a medical.

This season he scored 28 goals in 56 competitive club games for Sevilla, winning the Europa League.
