After Dusan Vlahovic from Fiorentina, Juventus are now in talks with Cagliari for Nahitan Nandez, which would free up Arthur Melo to Arsenal and Rodrigo Bentancur to Aston Villa.

According to multiple sources in Italy, the deal is already done with the Viola for Vlahovic, at a cost of €67m plus bonuses.

The midfield also needs work, so Sportitalia and Calciomercato.com are confident Juve are in talks with Cagliari to take Nandez on loan.

Sky: Juventus and Fiorentina reach agreement over Vlahovic transfer

The Uruguay international had already been on the verge of an exit over the summer, but negotiations with Inter broke down.

Now Cagliari are more prepared to accept a loan without obligation to buy at the end of the season, and Nandez has also been linked with Torino and Napoli.

A possible solution could be including Kaio Jorge as part of an exchange of loans, although Salernitana are also interested in the Brazilian striker.

Meanwhile, Telegraph Sport maintain Aston Villa are stepping up negotiations for Juventus midfielder Bentancur, even asking fellow Uruguayan Luis Suarez for advice on the situation.

He’s not the only midfielder who could be on the way out of Turin, as Arthur also wants a loan switch to Arsenal, but the clubs are struggling to agree terms.

  1. The pub team of Europe and eternal whipping boys of Europe should go shopping in England’s second tier or how about a scouting mission to Atalanta Georgia?
