Hellas Verona are busy bringing in firepower to fight relegation, as after Ondrej Duda, they are now reportedly close to signing Adolfo Gaich from CSKA Moscow.

They have managed to drag themselves off the foot of the table in recent weeks, but remain in the drop zone and their main problem is finding the net.

With Thomas Henry out for the rest of the season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his knee, the need for a striker became even more urgent.

Sky Sport Italia and Sportitalia are confident a deal is done for Duda, who should have his medical over the weekend, arriving from FC Koln on loan with option to buy for €2.5m.

Now Calciomercato.it claim that there is also a verbal agreement with CSKA Moscow to sign Gaich on loan with option to buy for €6.5m.

The Argentine centre-forward turns 24 next month and is not entirely new to Serie A, as he already had a six-month loan spell at Benevento in 2021, where he scored twice in 15 appearances.

He joined CSKA Moscow in 2020 and with Russian clubs excluded from European competition, he went on loan last season to Spanish side Huesca.

That did not go well either, contributing one goal and three assists in 28 games.
