Roma are in negotiations to loan striker Ezequiel Ponce to AEK Athens, confirmed director of sport Monchi.
The 21-year-old forward has been on Roma’s books since 2015, but spent most of that time out on loan to Granada and then Lille.
This season, he scored three goals with one assist in 32 competitive games for Lille in France.

“I don’t like to talk about negotiations like this where there are no definitive developments yet, but it is true that AEK are interested in our player,” Monchi told Sport24.gr after the rumours emerged.
It’s reported Ponce will join AEK Athens on loan and the Greek club will pay 50 per cent of his €1.2m per year salary.
There could also be an option to buy for €4-5m.
