The Brazilian, now 34, wore the Nerazzurri jersey from 2001 to 2009, albeit with loan spells at Parma, Fiorentina, Flamengo and Sao Paulo.
His most recent club was Miami United in America, but he is currently out of contract.
“I know that all the Inter fans have me in their heart and I am always happy to come back to see the team I will love forever.
“The moment I set foot on the turf of the Stadio Meazza, I remembered the times when I was a real player. I still can’t believe I’m here.”
Adriano also confirmed he has been asked to join the Inter Forever team of legends.
