Aurelio De Laurentiis has admitted that Valon Behrami is almost certainly leaving Napoli.
Reports in Germany this morning suggested that the Switzerland international was on his way to Hamburg.
And the Partenopei President has confirmed that only a medical stands in the way of his departure.
“We are developing a refined squad that is ideal for Rafa Benitez,” he told Radio Kiss Kiss.
“Behrami asked to be allowed to play in a more attacking role, but that’s not what the Coach wanted.
“We spoke with Hamburg, and now he will have a medical before the contracts can be exchanged and signed.
“We’ll wait for that and then the deal will be done.
“Now we are looking for someone who can fit into the 4-2-3-1 that the Coach wants to play.
“If you’re happy in Naples and want to wear the Azzurri colours, then we are completely behind you.”
De Laurentiis then commented on the rumours that Marouane Fellaini will sign from Manchester United.
“If he is a lion, a warrior, then great. Inler came because he was a lion – and Fellaini could compensate for his lack of hair!”
