Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis warns ‘there will be no discounts’ for Arkadiusz Milik and if he rejects a transfer, he’ll be left on the bench for a year.
The Poland international is set to leave this summer after failing to negotiate a new contract, considering his current deal expires in June 2021.
“Milik has always been on the market,” De Laurentiis told Sky Sport Italia.

The Poland international is set to leave this summer after failing to negotiate a new contract, considering his current deal expires in June 2021.
“Milik has always been on the market,” De Laurentiis told Sky Sport Italia.
“Since I’ve known the man, I’ve been asking him to extend his contract. He just looks at me and doesn’t reply. So at that point, you have to accept he has to leave.”
There have been reports for months that Milik is lining up a move to Juventus, where he’d reunite with Maurizio Sarri, but the Napoli President warns he will not be swayed.
“Milik will go to the highest bidder, because there will be no discounts for anyone. Otherwise, he risks staying at Napoli and will probably no longer be picked by the coach.”
With Euro 2020 moved to next summer, it would be devastating for Milik to spent a season in the stands of the Stadio San Paolo.
Napoli are asking for €50m to sell Milik, with interest also from Tottenham Hotspur.
Meanwhile, De Laurentiis also reiterated the cost of the Victor Osimhen operation from Lille.
“We’d been following this player for some time. Rino Gattuso wanted him and so did (director of sport) Cristiano Giuntoli, who convinced me to make this sacrifice of €70m plus €10m in bonuses.
“If we consider the various wage issues, we’re going to go over €100m. We mustn’t expect everything from Osimhen straight away, he’s not a striker who gets 25 or 30 goals, but will play for the team and help others score goals as well.”
According to Sky Sport Italia, the cash sum paid for Osimhen is actually €50m, with the other €20m made up by the valuation of Orestis Karnezis and three youth team players.
