Former Serie A defender Daniele Adani believes José Mourinho is ‘giving nothing to Roma‘ although most Giallorossi fans are backing their coach.

Roma sit eighth in the Serie A table, six points off fourth-placed Juventus. The team has shown the same problems as in the last couple of seasons under Paulo Fonseca when they failed to qualify for the Champions League, losing many games against their direct rivals.

Mourinho signed a three-year contract with the Giallorossi in 2021 but hasn’t yet to turn things around in the capital. Adani, a former Inter, Fiorentina and Brescia defender, believes the former Chelsea and Tottenham boss is responsible for Roma’s poor results this term.

“He is giving nothing to Roma, we trusted him, but he is not doing enough,” the 47-year-old said during Bobo TV, the Twitch show hosted by Christian Vieri with Antonio Cassano, Nicola Ventola and Adani.

“He was forced to introduce young players on Saturday because nobody else was available, although Roma fans don’t think this way.”

Roma picked up a 2-2 draw against Hellas Verona on Saturday with Primavera players Cristian Volpato and Edoardo Bove scoring their first senior goals with the Giallorossi.

Roma return to the pitch on Sunday visiting Spezia at the Stadio Picco.

  1. Didn’t you, yourselves report pre-season, That the goal this year isn’t for silverware or European placements as there is a lot of work needing to be done in this project from Mourinho? Its Phase one, of a multi-phase project, and considering Roma have managed to offload some “deadwood” from the benches, its going rather well so far.

  2. I love mourinho and have analyse a bit of his behaviour, once he keep show his anger mean there are a lot of thing dissatisfy him.
And its the big sign he not intrested any more. He so good on analyzing players. What he got about existing roma players is they’re not capable to bring him silverware. So clearly he want to leave and push roma to fired him.

I support him, he should just go. He belong to newcastle that could give him more success.
Wherever club which so hard on spending not deserve this special mourinho

  3. Hey Mik,
A lot of my comments in the past two months also didn’t show, so I practically stopped posting (& responding to atrocious Juventus fans).

I must congratulate Milan Fan as he is the one who figured out that: FI is using a system which automatically blocks posts that contain certain words.
…The problem is, if one of those banned words is in the middle of another perfectly innocent word, your whole post will not show through.

    I hope this helps you.

  4. (…For instance, you can’t use word as s…

But if you write pas s or as s ist, your post will also be automatically deleted.

At least that was the case about a month ago –Maybe the issue with this particular word is now fixed…)

  5. A coach is not a magician.Look at tottenham today, same problem with antonio conte. He won Uefa with a team that had players who where not good.Just imagine if mourihno was given the team manchester has today. All the players he complained of have problems today.Pogba, rashford, martial etc .Give him time to build his own team that can play with his style.HE IS STILL THE BEST .What have all the coaches before and after his reign in manchester produced? nothing!
