Francesco Acerbi is pushing for a move to Inter and he’s reportedly willing to waive around €400,000 in owed wages in order to facilitate the transfer.

Calciomercato.com details how the Italian veteran’s agent Federico Pastorello met with the Nerazzurri’s management yesterday to line up a deal. It became clear that Acerbi was not Inter’s first choice, and the club are prioritising Borussia Dortmund’s Manuel Akanji and Chelsea’s Trevoh Chalobah, but if neither can be signed then the Lazio defender would become their next bet.

In order to help facilitate a move, Acerbi is willing to give up on around €400,000 in owed wages from Lazio, his pay for July and August. Inter made it clear that they weren’t willing to pay the €500,000 for the loan, so the decision was necessary to help push forward a deal.

Acerbi is now waiting for Inter’s decision, which is likely to arrive after their upcoming match against the Biancocelesti.
