The representative of Francesco Acerbi will hold talks with Genoa this week to discuss the player’s future.

The centre-back began 2012-13 at Milan after the Rossoneri bought 50 per cent of his contract, but Genoa took total control of his ownership in the January transfer market.

He was then immediately loaned to Chievo, the same side who groomed his talents in the 2011-12 season.

“I’ll be meeting Genoa officials in the next few days to hear their intentions,” Andrea Cattoli told Ita Sport Press.

“There are some clubs who have shown an interest, but it all depends on what decision is made with Genoa.

“Francesco needs to feel the faith of Genoa in him in order for him to return to the levels that he expressed at Chievo before leaving for Milan.

“He’s a serious professional, with excellent qualities."

The 24-year-old featured in six League games for Milan and just seven for Chievo.
