“I had been feeling the pain for almost the entire game. I should have asked to be substituted, but I didn’t want to abandon the ship, and I tried to fight until the end,” the defender wrote on Instagram.
“I apologise to my teammates, the coach, the fans and myself. I will have an MRI scan tomorrow to make sure it’s nothing serious.”
