A frustrated Roma striker Tammy Abraham hit the woodwork for the sixth time in 2021-22. ‘Someone please remove the crossbar/post’.

Roma picked up a 2-0 win over Empoli on Sunday, when Lorenzo Pellegrini and Henrikh Mkhitaryan combined to secure another three points in the League.

Roma sit fourth after seven games with 15 points, but Abraham, who has scored twice in Serie A and twice in the Europa Conference League, was frustrated with the post.

He responded to the video of Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s second goal against the Azzurri, lamenting the woodwork.

“Someone please remove the crossbar/post,” he wrote on Twitter. “Sixth time already this season I’ve hit it.”

The 24-year-old has played 10 competitive games since joining the Giallorossi from Chelsea for a reported €40m, contributing four goals and three assists in the process.

Abraham, capped six times by England, arrived at the Olimpico after scoring 30 goals in 82 games with the Blues and has previously gained experience from stints at Bristol City, Aston Villa and Swansea.
