Tammy Abraham reiterated his adoration of Roma and the supporters after his goal beat Atalanta. ‘There was a low time in my career, Roma lifted me up and gave me that confidence,’ said the former Chelsea striker.

The England international arrived from Chelsea in a deal worth over €40m and has more than repaid that sum with 12 Serie A goals in 26 appearances, plus six in as many Europa Conference League games.

Serie A | Roma 1-0 Atalanta: Abraham breaks La Dea again

“You can see what it means to us, the fans supported us from the first whistle to the last,” Abraham told DAZN.

“You can see the way we celebrated and we can’t describe this feeling, it’s the best when we do it as a team and these are three important points.”

After losing to Juventus, Roma have gone on a seven-match Serie A unbeaten run, including back-to-back 1-0 victories over Spezia and Atalanta with Abraham goals. What changed in the Giallorossi camp?

“Togetherness. We are learning more and more about each other every day. A couple of months ago, we might’ve conceded in the last minute, but today we worked together as a team and fought to the end.

“Now we can enjoy it, go have a drink and celebrate with the fans.”

Abraham kissed the jersey after his goal and was saluting the supporters throughout the post-match interview.

“Like I said, I give this club my all. There was a low time in my career, Roma lifted me up and gave me that confidence. I enjoy it every time I step on this pitch, you can hear the fans from minute one and I’d do anything for this club.

“The fans love me and I love them. I love them.”
