Roma striker Tammy Abraham has been called up for the World Cup Qualifiers against Albania and San Marino, but Milan centre-back Fikayo Tomori is not called up.

England coach Gareth Southgate has decided to bring Abraham for the two games on November 12 and 15.

But this time, as Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has recovered and is available for the Three Lions, Tomori will not be travelling to join the squad.

Abraham scored his first England goal since November 2019

Abraham, who joined Roma from Chelsea over the summer, is thus the only player from Serie A in the England squad.

The 24-year-old, who is currently preparing to play against Bodo/Glimt in the UEFA Conference League, scored his second goal for the national team during the last international break.

Abraham’s goal in the World Cup Qualifier against Andorra was his first with the England shirt since November 2019.

England are first in Group I with 20 points from eight games, three above Poland at second and five above Albania at third.

  1. Indeed, I’m sure he’d have liked to have been called up, but it’s one less potential injury/covid case. Plus he’s been playing every single game, he needs a rest.
