Roma striker Tammy Abraham is reportedly discussing his salary requests with Premier League outfit West Ham United after the East Londoners submitted an offer to the Giallorossi earlier in the week.

Roma are hoping to sell the 11-time England international for a fee in the region of €30m, but recent reports suggested they would entertain offers around €25m with additional bonuses.

Though the exact value of West Ham’s offer to Roma has not yet been disclosed, Gianluca Di Marzio reports that it is ‘close’ to matching Roma’s asking price.

Now the Irons are understood to be discussing salary requests with the player. Abraham is reportedly on a highly lucrative contract with Roma, which means that negotiations on personal terms with West Ham might not be particularly straight-forward.

Abraham had been linked with a move to join Aston Villa last summer, but suffered a ruptured cruciate ligament on the final day of the 2022-23 season, which made that move impossible.

He has since returned to fitness, but has fallen further down the pecking order under Daniele De Rossi after the arrival of Artem Dovbyk from Girona for an initial fee of €30.5m, not including add-ons.

If Roma are to sell Abraham this summer, they will reportedly seek deals with Napoli for versatile forward Cyril Ngonge and with Gent for young winger Matias Fernandez-Pardo.
