La Gazzetta dello Sport previews Saturday’s Serie A clash between Roma and Milan with an angle on Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori, called ‘the Chelsea brothers.’

Both England internationals moved to Serie A from Stamford Bridge over the last few years.

Tomori was the first one to move to Italy. He joined Milan on an initial loan deal in January 2021 and the Rossoneri made his move permanent at the end of the season.

He was followed by Abraham, who completed a €40m move to Roma in the summer of 2021. Chelsea still have an option to re-sign the English striker for €80m at the end of the season.

They are going to meet at the Stadio Olimpico today, but while Tomori will surely start, Abraham may initially go on the bench ad be involved in the second half.

‘They used to play together as kids and perhaps, they were dreaming of what they could have done together one day,’ wrote Gazzetta in Saturday’s printed edition of the newspaper.

Tomori and Abraham joined Chelsea’s youth sector when they were only seven. They started in the U8 squad and went on to play in every team of the Blues’ Academy.

They won the Youth League twice and made their Premier League debut almost simultaneously in 2016. Abraham played his first game in England’s top flight against Liverpool and four days later, Tomori was involved in a home game against Leicester City.

The pair went on holiday together last summer alongside Torin full-back Ola Aina, another former Chelsea player.
