Catania President Antonino Pulvirenti yesterday admitted to attempting to fix several matches, as part of the Goal Trains scandal.
Federal prosecutors must now ascertain who else was involved in the illicit activity, and how far-reaching the scandal is.
“It’s our custom to take a step forward, not back,” Abodi told a Press conference, alongside FIGC President Carlo Tavecchio and prosecutor Stefano Palazzi.
“Federal prosector Palazzi is the best guarantee for us. We have to make unequivocal decisions which allow us to say that those who have done wrong have been removed from the system.
“We can confirm that we’re ready and willing to delay the start of our season.”
