In addition, a match-fixing scandal involving Catania is still being investigated, and could delay the start of next season.
“We don’t want to be passive about everything that’s happening,” Abodi told Sky outside an emergency meeting.
“We need to have no room for manoeuvre for those who commit crimes, and maximum protection for those who respect the rules and are a victim of the former.
“It will be a difficult summer, in which we’ll try to get back to normality, without underestimating the problems we have, so we can start next season in a clean and transparent situation.
“The first problem we have to solve is the non-registration of Parma. The Federation will decide the 22nd team that will play in Serie B in place of the Ducali.
“I think by the end of the month we’ll know who is going to be playing in Serie B.
“We’re going to propose a postponement [to the start of the season] of one or two weeks, while maintaining the idea of finishing the first round of fixtures by the end of the calendar year, then resume in January.
“We must ensure the fans don’t lose confidence in the Lega and in the League.”
