Aberdeen FC midfielder Ylber Ramadani has reportedly turned down a move to Hellas Verona, as he would prefer to come to Serie A for Lecce.

Sportitalia had already suggested last week that the battle between the two sides was heating up and that the player was leaning more towards the Stadio Via del Mare.

That was despite Verona offering more to Aberdeen for his signature and a better salary package, as he was more intrigued by the project in place at Lecce.

Now Sky Sport Italia also confirm that Ramadani is ready to snub Verona, though that means Lecce still need to figure out a transfer fee with Aberdeen.

So far, their proposal worth circa €1m has been rejected outright by the Scottish club.

Ramadani is a 27-year-old midfielder who was born in Germany, but plays his international football for Albania with 27 senior caps.

According to the Daily Record, he threw his shirt into the crowd after a game against Charlton over the weekend and seemed to be saying his goodbyes.
