The Tunisian centre-back has been linked with a move to the Rossoneri, with French newspaper L'Equipe reporting a €20m bid had been submitted, but the player’s representative reveals he will not move to Serie A.

“We’ve never been contacted by Milan, or any Italian club,” Abdelkader Jilani told Calciomercato, contradicting previous claims.

“Abdennour wants to play in the Premier League or La Liga, not in Italy. The path leading to West Ham is closed.

“Would he consider Milan? No, because he doesn’t want to go to Italy. I repeat, England or Spain is his future.”
