Abbiati appeals to Cassano

Christian Abbiati has urged teammate Antonio Cassano to stay at Milan. “He needs to concentrate and find new motivation.”

Although his agent and Vice-President Adriano Galliani have both firmly denied reports of a move away, the media continue to suggest Cassano will leave to seek first-team football.

“It seems to me that in these months at Milan Cassano has started many games and come on for the second half in others,” goalkeeper Abbiati told the Corriere dello Sport.

It was reported Cassano would push for a move to Fiorentina or Napoli in the run-up to Euro 2012.
