Ignazio Abate is expected to sign a new contract to stay on at Milan to end months of speculation linking him with a move.

Entering the final year of his current deal, the Italy international has been linked to a number of clubs in recent months, including Juventus, Zenit St Petersburg, Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain.

However, Tuttosport are running the line that, barring any last minute twists, Abate is ready to commit to a new three-and-a-half-year contract with the Rossoneri.
