Ivan Juric may have another headache to resolve when Roma host Torino in Serie A on Thursday night, as leading goalscorer Artem Dovbyk is likely to sit the game out as he deals with a bout of flu.
Dovbyk doubt for Roma and Juric ahead of Torino
According to pre-match reports from Sky Sport Italia, Dovbyk has a fever and is now expected to miss Thursday’s crucial Serie A match against Torino.
Reports in the Italian press suggest that Juric’s job will be at an increased risk if the Giallorossi do not win against Torino on Thursday night.
Juric’s side are coming in off the back of a 5-1 hammering by Fiorentina over the weekend, and the coach, who was only appointed in September, is now hanging by a thread at the Stadio Olimpico.
There have already been suggestions that club legend Daniele De Rossi could be poised to make a return if the club do decide to dismiss Juric, while Edin Terzic and Roberto Mancini have also been linked, as has Claudio Ranieri, albeit for a backroom role, rather than one on the touchline.
Kick-off between Roma and Torino is due at 19.45 GMT.
