La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Milan are ready to invest in the January transfer window if results don’t improve, and even if a central midfielder remains the priority, they are also considering an upgrade to Samuel Chukwueze and a backup to Theo Hernandez.

Milan are determined to sign at least a new player in the winter transfer window if results over the next two months remain inconsistent, reports La Gazzetta dello Sport.

It was already reported last week that the Rossoneri were in need of a central midfielder, especially if Ismael Bennacer would take long to recover from a severe muscle injury sustained in September.

Genoa’s Morten Frendrup is among the Rossoneri candidates for the role.

However, according to the latest report, Milan are also considering strengthening the team in other positions.

The Serie A giants will likely listen to offers for Chukwueze, who has failed to impress during his 18-month stay at the club.

According to Gazzetta, the four primary names are on the Rossoneri agenda: Skov Olsen (Club Brugge, Milan’s next Champions League opponent), Noa Lang (PSV), Ismaila Sarr (Crystal Palance), and Domenico Berardi.

The latter said in an interview last week that if he returned to his best shape, he was ready to leave Sassuolo in two months.

Lastly, Lecce’s Patrick Dorgu is a player Milan are monitoring to give Paulo Fonseca a solid backup option to Theo Hernandez for the left-back role.
