According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan defender Matteo Gabbia will get an Italy call-up for Nations League games against Belgium and Israel, while Manuel Locatelli and Federico Chiesa could return with the Azzurri.

Italy coach Luciano Spalletti is expected to name the Italy squad for upcoming Nations League games against Belgium and Israel today.

Friday’s printed edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (page five) claims Gabbia will be part of the team, getting his first Italy call-up.

Probable Italy squad for Nations League games vs. Belgium and Israel

Third-choice goalkeeper Alex Meret is injured and will be replaced by Ivan Provedel (Lazio) or Michele Di Gregorio (Juventus).

Tottenham defender Destiny Udogie didn’t feature for Spurs in the latest Europa League match but could still be available for the Azzurri.

Liverpool’s Federico Chiesa could return after missing September matches due to poor form, but Lazio captain Mattia Zaccagni is also an option in attack.

Niccolò Pisilli could play one match for Italy’s senior team and one with the U21 squad, meaning that Manuel Locatelli or Bryan Cristante may complete the Azzurri midfield given that Inter‘s Nicolò Barella is injured.
