The Mayor of Corbetta, Marco Ballarini, taunted Alvaro Morata by bidding him farewell in an Instagram story that included an Inter crest following the striker’s decision to change home due to a privacy violation from the former.

On the lookout for a new place, the Spanish forward had decided to buy a new home in Corbetta, a small town on the western outskirts of Milan, but his plans were jeopardised when the village’s Mayor Ballarini took to social media on Wednesday to announce Morata was about to move there.

The Milan striker’s reply, through an Instagram story published on Thursday, made his discontent very clear, as he accused Ballarini of ‘violating’ his privacy and forcing him to ‘change’ his home ‘immediately’.

Ballarini had already acknowledged being a ‘great Inter fan’ in the first post, which is why he reacted laconically to the player’s statement by publishing an Instagram story simply containing the word ‘goodbye’ with an Inter crest in the background.

  1. Nobody wants a Milan crybaby in their village! Violating his privacy, is he serious?!! Like it was NOT going to be published in every outlet with his marvellous home!

  2. From marital troubles to change of hairstyle and now his choice of abode. Is this an Italian football platform or Gente Magazine? What next? Hourly reports on Morata’s bowel movements? Stop it!
