Roma talent Niccolò Pisilli is among the top 10 Italian players in Serie A across the opening six matches, but Nicolò Barella remains the best Azzurri player in the league.

Football Italia ranks the top 10 Italian players in Serie A after Round 6, which ended on Monday.

Inter‘s Nicolò Barella is among the top three overall performers in the league despite missing the Nerazzurri’s latest victory against Udinese due to a muscle injury.

Serie A: Top 10 Italy players from opening 6 Rounds

Just like last week, Federico Gatti of Juventus is the second-best Italian performer in Serie A, but Federico Dimarco has overtaken Napoli‘s Alessandro Buongiorno to take the third spot.

The ranking is based on average player ratings from Italian sports papers for footballers who have made at least 50% of Serie A appearances this term.

There’s a new entry in the top 10, and it’s Roma talent Pisilli, who scored a crucial goal in a 2-1 win over Venezia on Sunday.

Pisilli is the fifth-best Italian player in Serie A so far this season, and his performances understandably attracted the interest of Italy CT Luciano Spalletti.

  1. Nice write up on the Italian players, think this is the third time I’ve seen this top 10 players of the week. keep up the good work. would be cool to see who Spalletti selects for the national compared to the weeks top performers and those players who missed out.
