Roma begin their 2024-25 Europa League campaign with a visit from LaLiga side Athletic Club, and Ivan Juric could reward recent goalscorer Tommaso Baldanzi with his first start of the season.

Thursday’s reports suggest that Baldanzi is in contention to partner Paulo Dybala in the supporting roles behind centre-forward Artem Dovbyk in a 3-4-2-1.

20-year-old midfielder Niccolo Pisilli could also keep his starting position in central midfield, alongside either Bryan Cristante or Manu Kone.

Gianluca Mancini, Evan Ndicka and Mario Hermoso are the expected centre-backs in a Giallorossi back three.

Kick-off is due at 20.00 BST.
