Stefano Pioli is officially the new coach of Al Nassr, where he will be working with Cristiano Ronaldo and Marcelo Brozovic in the Saudi Pro League.

The former Milan boss flew in today and put pen to paper on the contract.

Sky Sport Italia report it is a three-year deal worth €12m per season.

Before doing that, he had to terminate the existing deal that he still had with Milan, who had sacked him in May and were still therefore paying his salary.

Al Nassr announced the news by referencing the chant that had become a regular for the Rossoneri during their Scudetto-winning campaign: Pioli’s On Fire.

Saudi Pro League adventure for Pioli

The Italian turns 59 next month and his previous clubs include Fiorentina, Inter, Lazio and Bologna.

He had already been on the verge of joining a Saudi Pro League side this summer, but negotiations with Al Ittihad fell apart at the last minute.

This will be the tactician’s first experience abroad, but he has players in the squad familiar with Serie A, above all ex-Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo and former Inter midfielder Brozovic.
