According to reports in France, Inter made an offer worth €15m including add-ons for defender Nathan Zeze, but Nantes are asking for €20m.

The centre-back just turned 19 in June and has represented France at Under-17 and Under-18 level.

A product of the FC Nantes youth academy, he was promoted to the senior squad in January and made 14 appearances, including 12 starts.

Footmercato claim that Inter put forward a proposal worth €15m including performance-related bonuses, but it was not enough to convince the Ligue 1 side into a sale.

It might not be the end of the matter, because Zeze is believed to have his heart set on joining the reigning Champions of Italy.

He has a contract with Nantes until June 2028, but seems eager to leave this summer.

There could also be the entry of Premier League sides into the race to sign the impressive and tall central defender.
