Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo has reportedly put talks with Premier League club West Ham United to one side as Juventus have opened talks to sign the Frenchman in the summer transfer window, according to reports in Italy.

Todibo puts West Ham on hold as Juventus open talks

Todibo had originally been linked with a move to Manchester United, however they are controlled by the same ownership group as Nice, INEOS, and as the two clubs are both set to compete in the Europa League next season, a transfer between the two sides this summer has effectively been blocked by UEFA.

However, as per La Gazzetta dello Sport, there was also interest from another Premier League side in West Ham.

Now that Juventus have entered the race to sign Todibo, and given that West Ham have just forked out a reported €47m (£40m) on English centre-back Max Kilman, a switch to East London is also now an unlikely scenario for the former Barcelona man.

Reports from multiple outlets in Italy on Sunday morning suggested that Todibo will be available for a fee in the region of €35m this summer.

Juventus are keen to maintain their relationship with Nice, having also recently agreed the transfer of Khephren Thuram.
