Lautaro Martinez and Marko Arnautovic will lead Inter’s attack against Bologna in the Coppa Italia Round of 16, but the Rossoblu star Joshua Zirkzee could rest.

It kicks off at 20:00 GMT at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Wednesday.

The Nerazzurri are the defending Coppa Italia champions and tonight’s winners will face Fiorentina in the quarter-finals.

Simone Inzaghi can’t rotate much in defence as Denzel Dumfries, Stefan de Vrij and Juan Cuadrado are injured. Benjamin Pavard is available, but not fit enough to start. Chilean striker Alexis Sanchez is also out of action.

There will be more rotations in midfield where Hakan Calhanoglu, Nicolò Barella and Henrikh Mkhitaryan will rest. The same is true of Marcus Thuram who is expected to start on the bench, making room for Lautaro Martinez and ex-Bologna star Arnautovic in the starting XI.

Some key Bologna players will rest too. Former Inter midfielder Giovanni Fabbian will likely replace Lewis Ferguson. Riccardo Calafiori, Remo Freuler and Zirkzee should start on the bench too.

Thiago Motta must cope without Riccardo Orsolini, Jesper Karlsson and Adama Soumaoro for tonight’s fixture against his former club.

Inter-Bologna: probable line-ups

Inter (3-5-2): Audero; Bisseck, Acerbi, Bastoni; Darmian, Frattesi, Asllani, Klaassen, Carlos Augusto; Arnautovic, Lautaro Martinez.

Bologna (4-2-3-1): Ravaglia; De Silvestri, Beukema, Lucumí, Lykogiannis; Aebischer, Moro; Ndoye, Fabbian, Saelemaekers; Van Hooijdonk.
