Milan trio Ismael Bennacer, Christian Pulisic and Simon Kjaer are all making good progress in the recovery processes of their respective injuries as the Rossoneri’s available players completed their final training session before a two-day break on Saturday.

Bennacer has not featured for Milan since May, when he ruptured his cruciate ligament in the first league of the Champions League semi-final against rivals Inter

He required surgery and was expected to be ruled out for an absolute minimum of six months.

Bennacer marked an important milestone on Friday by completing the first part of training with the first-team group. He did the same on Saturday, but did not take part in Milan’s training ground friendly against the Primavera squad this afternoon.

Pulisic also picked up an injury in the Champions League, more recently than Bennacer though. He suffered a strain to his left thigh against Paris Saint-Germain at the beginning of November and missed Milan’s league match against Lecce prior to the international break.

Kjaer, meanwhile, has been struggling with a muscular issue since the end of October. He has managed seven appearances across all competitions so far this season.

Multiple outlets, including Milannews and TMW report that Pulisic and Kjaer have been carrying out personalised sessions on the pitch in recent days and are now close to returning to competitive action.
