La Dea welcome the league leaders to the Gewiss Stadium on Saturday and these Atalanta vs. Inter predictions suggest a close game. The home side is yet to concede a single goal in front of their own fans this season.
1 – A draw – 12/5
2 – Under 2.5 goals scored – 9/10
3 – Both teams to score – 7/10
4 – Lautaro Martinez to score anytime – 13/8
5 – 1-1 at full-time – 11/2
After a mixed start to the season, Atalanta seemed to have finally hit something of a groove, winning their last two games in Serie A. Although Gian Piero Gasperini would have expected both matches to have been won, the manner of the victories has been impressive.
Last weekend’s 3-0 victory away at Empoli is a good case in point. Gianluca Scamacca scored two – and should have finished with a hat-trick – showing the form that prompted West Ham to buy him last season. He never really got going in the Premier League but now has four goals in nine games for Atalanta.
Gasperini was definitely impressed with the striker’s performance and he will be a threat to the Inter defence this Saturday. But the Nerazzurri have only lost once all season in Serie A and top the table going into match day 11.
Inter were rarely troubled by Roma at the weekend and, with most of the attention on Romelu Lukaku and Jose Mourinho, it was Marcus Thuram who scored the only goal of the game. The French striker is proving to be one of the transfers of the summer but it is his partner up front that we back to score at the Gewiss Stadium.
Lautaro Martinez already has 12 goals in all competitions and is rarely not on the scoresheet. Missing out on finding the net against Roma makes us think that the Argentina striker will be on course to score against Atalanta.
This could be a very tight game though. Atalanta, for all their inconsistency at the beginning of the season, still find themselves in the top four and will push Inter all the way at home. It would not be a surprise if the fans are treated to an entertaining match that ultimately shares the points between the two teams.

Atalanta (3-4-1-2): Musso; Tolói, Kolašinac, Djimsiti; Hateboer, Éderson, de Roon, Ruggeri; Lookman, Scamacca
Inter (3-5-2): Sommer; Parvard, Bastoni, Acerbi; Dumfries, Mkhitaryran, Barella, Calhanoglu, Dimarco; Thuram, Martinez
Gian Piero Gasperini has no new injury worries ahead of this one but will have to decide whether to bring back Davide Zappacosta after the defender missed the win over Empoli through illness. He may also choose to keep Charles De Ketelaere on the bench again.
Simone Inzaghi will probably also go with a largely unchanged starting XI from the one that was able to defeat Roma last weekend. Look for wholesale changes in the second half though, as Inzaghi utilises the full range of a talented Nerazzurri squad.
