Davide Faraoni’s agent Mario Giuffredi denies his client will join Napoli, saying that the Italian full-back will ‘remain at Hellas Verona.’

Multiple sources had claimed Napoli were close to reaching an agreement for the 31-year-old but his agent Giuffrida has now denied that his move to the Stadio Maradona will happen this summer.

“He will remain at Hellas Verona, he is happy there,” the defender’s agent told Canale 21.

Several Napoli players are represented by Giuffredi, including captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo, who has recently signed a new deal with the Serie A champions.

Faraoni’s contract at the Stadio Bentegodi expires in June 2025. Napoli boss Rudi Garcia is making his assessments on Alessandro Zanoli who spent the last six months of last season on loan at Sampdoria.

If the 22-year-old leaves this summer, then the Partenopei will need a new right-back as a backup for Di Lorenzo.
