Arthur Melo is one of several players frozen out at Juventus, with interest from West Ham, Aston Villa, Wolves and West Ham, but now also reportedly Fiorentina.

The midfielder turns 27 next month and is not part of coach Max Allegri’s plans for the future after returning from a disappointing loan spell at Liverpool.

Arthur, Leonardo Bonucci, Weston McKennie and Denis Zakaria have all been informed they will not be going to the United States for the pre-season tour, nor will they be allowed to train with the rest of the squad when they are in the same building.

The Brazilian was already well aware he had to find another club and the Premier League had seemed the most likely, with interest from the likes of Aston Villa, West Ham, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Roberto De Zerbi’s Brighton and Hove Albion.

This evening, Sky Sport Italia suggest that Fiorentina have asked for information on Arthur, especially if they manage to sell Sofyan Amrabat.

It would be a loan with option to buy, but the most important thing right now is for Juve to get his wages off their books.

It might also be a little confusing for the Viola, as they already have a player called Arthur, in his case Cabral.
