Moise Kean opened up about his personal development at Juventus, Nicolo Zaniolo’s move to Turkey and how he thinks about his career in the future.

The 23-year-old Italian forward has had an interesting few years since initially leaving the Bianconeri for Everton in the summer of 2019. After a season in the Premier League, he spent a year on loan with Paris Saint-Germain before coming back to Turin on a two-year loan deal.

Juventus have now re-signed Kean, who has scored seven goals in 34 games across all competitions this season.

Speaking to Corriere dello Sport, Kean first discussed his personal development over the last few years.

“I have toured a lot, now I work hard to find stability and consistency. I have a personal staff of four people who follow me, a nutritionist, an athletic trainer and specialists who help me improve, I don’t neglect anything anymore.

“I work with them even when I don’t have training, I work a lot on rhythm and to avoid wasting energy and some mistakes from the past. I score for Juve and for me.”

He was asked about Fabio Paratici’s comments that one day he’d become one of the best forwards in the world.

“It’s a very positive thing that he said that…. I still have time, I’m not one to look too far ahead. People like Salah and Mané took a few years before they exploded. Mané is 31, Salah became Salah at 25.

“I was lucky enough to play with great champions here in Turin, in Paris, in Liverpool and champions help you grow. Cristiano Ronaldo worked to become number one, talent wasn’t enough.”

The 23-year-old touched on his relationship with coach Massimiliano Allegri.

“Allegri has always treated me like a man, ever since he followed me in the Primavera. He was tough, tough in a good way….

“Since then, many things have changed, I have identified the path to follow, I’m working hard.”

Kean spoke about Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, who has struggled to show his best this season in Turin.

“When such an important striker doesn’t score goals for two, three games in a row he gets tense. Dusan is very strong, he feels the responsibility. He is an excellent person.”

He discussed his friend Zaniolo and the decision to leave Roma for Galatasaray.

“Zaniolo is an excellent person and a friend, we’ve had good times together. He made a choice, we speak often, I wouldn’t say every day, almost every day.

“He’s happy in Turkey and I know he’ll be able to prove himself. His happiness makes me happy. From mistakes we have to start again.”

Finally, Kean was asked about the increased usage of Oriundi in the Italian national team.

“I don’t see that as a problem. The most important thing is that whoever wears the Azzurri jersey must be willing to sweat, and a lot.

“The national team is an important goal… I have learnt that talent must be worked on every day, at every moment.”
