Juventus are increasingly determined to bring in Nicolò Zaniolo with a new meeting this week, so Roma look to Domenico Berardi or Gonçalo Guedes as replacements.

The Bianconeri have finally got the all-clear from Angel Di Maria as a free agent, but don’t want to stop there, as their ambitions also extend to Italy international Zaniolo.

The asking price is circa €50-60m, but the Giallorossi are prepared to accept one or more players as part of an exchange deal.

According to Sportitalia transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà, another meeting is expected this week by Friday at the latest.

Both clubs are drawing up a list of players who could be used as part of the exchange and if they happen to coincide, the deal could be done relatively quickly.

It’s expected to be some youth team players, such as Fabio Miretti, Nicolò Fagioli or Filippo Ranocchia.

The same source also maintains Roma are already looking to the post-Zaniolo era to find a suitable replacement.

Jose Mourinho is interested in Sassuolo captain Berardi, who was funnily enough also linked to Juve as an alternative to Di Maria.

The favourite is Guedes, who has requested a transfer from Valencia and is available for circa €35-40m, although that could be reduced with a player such as Carles Perez.

  1. When are we reinforcing our defense? Looking for a new left back maybe? A new centre-back to replace De Ligt? Seriously? All we do is investing in attackers? Jesus… These guys have no clue of this team needs.

  2. Roma can sell Zaniolo for 50+ million and get Guedes who is better player at this moment and yes Zaniolo has bigger potential but he is not Improving at this moment for whatever reason he has a good game here and there but most of the time he is sloppy and looks tired and exhausted. With Guedes you get player that can play everywhere in attack

  3. @brazilian bianconero

We just “lost” Dybala, berna, morata and Kean on the way out… We need attackers.

Cambiaso is also supposedly imminent and he’s the full back you mentioned, and kostic is predominantly a Wing back who we are also supposedly close to… Not going to believe the koulibaly rumour just yet

  4. I wish I see PhD Max in my bed more often. My testes are like two raisins with how much cream i unloaded in his mouth. We even tried scat. It was warm on my chest but it was from Obi Wan Max so i didn’t care. All about the Saveloy and fish and chips.

  5. My saveloy is getting bigger just thinking about PhD Max. Throw in both of your parents like last week and we can do the back, back, down, down 2nd leg. This time I have home field advantage. I love these late night discussions when @Fake Lord comes out with his British fish and chip jokes. Never too late for a cuppa, a cod, extra large chips and mushy peas. You can smother them on my knacker cracker and don’t be shy to deep dive. Get the malt vinegar, douse me in it and lets do the long ball all night.

  6. I’m in if your down. Get your pepto bismol ready. I know you English boys cannot handle 13 inches of my chilli padi.😘

  7. fake news.
With recent rumours linking several Juventus players – including Arthur, Weston McKennie, Moise Kean and Aaron Ramsey – in an eventual deal for Nicolò Zaniolo, Roma have set the record straight.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport, the Giallorossi have made it clear to all teams interested in the talented 22-year-old that no counterparts will be taken into consideration.

The club are not forcing Zaniolo to exit the club, but if a sale were to take place, Roma would only consider accepting cash. Roma press .

  8. Miretti and Fagioli are both good 🙁 I want them to stay at Juve
Honestly I don’t know how better Zaniolo is comparing to Soule , Ake or some other youngsters.
I’d rather see Juve keep Maretti and Fagioli and spend some cash on bring Gabriel Jesus
Zaniolo is good too , but idk
Let’s hope for a strong squad next season

  9. Juve should keep Miretti, he has to much potential.

I am not sure tonuse Zaniolo as a winger or a second striker. He could be more effective as an attacking midfielder as a trequartista or as midfielder in the right side.
