Nicolò Zaniolo’s agent said an offer from Milan ‘would be wonderful news’ for the Roma talent, as his future remains in doubt.
There were reports today that the Rossoneri were targeting the Italy international for their Champions League campaign and push to retain the Serie A title.
A proposal was rumoured to be cash plus Alexis Saelemaekers to bring Zaniolo to San Siro and the comments from his agent this evening certainly were not discouraging the rumours.
“It would be wonderful news, but I don’t know anything about it,” Claudio Vigorelli told Sportitalia.
Zaniolo turns 23 next month and scored eight goals with nine assists in 42 competitive games for Roma this season.
However, injury problems continue to plague him, even after recovering from a double anterior cruciate ligament tear.
It would be a return to the city of Milan, albeit the other side of it, as Zaniolo was in the Inter youth team in 2017-18 before his sale to Roma as part of the Radja Nainggolan move.
His contract with the Giallorossi runs to June 2024, but there are big question marks over his future, with Juventus also interested.

It would be a good move, except for Saelemakers. He doesn’t ever get injured, he’s tenacious and he has a lot to give as a right back, his natural position

One ACL can lead to a second ACL on the opposite knee, due to either rushing the return of the player or the player not having knees too weak to sustain their frame, as was the case for Zaniolo, his knees were weak he always had to have those injuries to enable him to play at a top level for a career, he’s 22, scored a winning goal in a final.
Judge him from now not previous, he’s actually more fit and healthy now going into the remainder of his career than he’s ever been.
Better at 20 than peak of his powers, also that would’ve have never happened mid 20s due to the precise reason his knees weren’t strong enough to handle his body.
I want Zaniolo to come over. I just don’t want to give Saelemakers, but keep him and use him as a right back.
