Milan directors are currently in Nyon to discuss the club’s Financial Fair Play situation with UEFA and avoid possible sanctions.

The meeting was supposed to take place a long time ago but had always been postponed because of the COVID pandemic. It was due to occur after Elliott took over from Younghong Li.

Milan directors Ivan Gazidis and Giorgio Furlani, who represents Elliott, will meet the Club Financial Control Body members and, following the hearing and the analysis of Milan’s finances and parameters, UEFA will make a decision regarding possible sanctions for the Rossoneri.

Milan were banned from European competitions in 2019 following irregularities in 2014-17, during different ownership. Rossoneri directors hope to avoid sanctions this time. According to SportMediaset, UEFA appreciates Milan’s new sustainable course. Financial losses have been reduced over the last few years, although results are still not in line with the FFP rules.

Nevertheless, Milan directors are confident of avoiding sanctions also in light of the new Financial Fair Play reform, which will be completed by the end of the season.

  1. Milan hardly have any cash; Europe’s “top” clubs are bankrolled by Russian oligarchs and murderous petrochemical dictators using football to launder their dirty money, yet are never sanctioned. Financial fair play?

  2. Juvenesia- And the rich club worries is spending billions in the past years just to win the UCL and fail woefully, CR7 should only earn the money you guys paid him in China or Asia, still you paid him and cant still win UCL. and now you dont even have a say in Scudetto anymore and you tried to create a SUPER LEAGUE and you still failed woefully and you wanna talk about poor club problem ? Go home and stop drinking

  3. @Ralph, stop being a hypocrite. You know deep inside Milan badly need Super League’s money. UEFA is corrupt and FFP isn’t working. TV rights money earned from Serie A is way too small to cover up the club’s expenditures. I tell you what, to you and to all idiot fans out there, you can live in your stupid fantasy. Bow down to UEFA and let them take half the money. Keep on smile like faggots holding tight FFP flag while PSG and EPL clubs steal all your talented players with their mega money. Or you can keep your mouth shut and think for a moment so you can realize Super League actually does good to Italian clubs.

  4. @el cid, you already knew the problem is because UEFA or even FIFA is corrupt and FFP isn’t working.. when you identified the problem then you fixed it and not creating more problem named Super League..
what good comes for Italian clubs by joining the Super League? it will only do good for maybe Juve, Inter and Milan.. what about the rest of the other Italian clubs?

  5. @julian, what about the rest of the other Italian clubs? Well, 1st, they can join The Super League to get a better paid (thanks to solidarity payments) more than they can get from Serie A tv rights. 2nd, build your brand globally and stop thinking like provincial clubs. If they can promote from 2nd tier to play in 1st tier of the Super League, their club will be well recognized and get paid handsomely. The participants will be paid 4 times more than the winner of CL and they have a chance to get more money if they win the Super league. And then UEFA will wake up and start to do their job properly, for example, making a new rule about salary caps, Champions League is reverted to its original format (only Champions can participate in CL),etc, etc. You see, competition is good for any market. Without the competition, the products won’t grow into better quality.
